Rachel Ben Rachamim Sobol, Senior Partner

Attorney Rachel Ben Rachamim Sobol is a partner in the law firm Woolfson Weinstein & Co.

Rachel works in the spheres of insolvency, company liquidation and rehabilitation, labor law and litigation.

Within the insolvency sphere, Rachel specializes in representing employees during the insolvency proceedings of their employers.

Before entering the private market, Rachel served as Legal Adviser to the Projects Unit in the National Insurance Institute for seven years, handling liquidation cases adjudicated by courts all over the country.

Rachel provides counsel to employees from the earliest stages of insolvency proceedings and throughout the process: from stay of proceedings, liquidation, receivership, etc., to representation in court, negotiating on the client’s behalf, representing employees during creditors arrangement proceedings, submitting debt claims to the appointed officer and to the National Insurance Institute, through the conclusion of the proceedings and the receipt of the payment to which the client is entitled.

Rachel also examines all employer omissions pertaining to employees and their wages, including non-payment of salaries, failure to transfer social benefit payments, and all other omissions that violate employee rights.

Rachel has represented thousands of employees and has handled the following cases: Doctor Baby employees, Bikur Cholim Hospital employees and physicians, Mega head office employees, Pereg and Mercaz L’Chashmal group employees, employees of the security and cleaning companies Merchav, Ari Avtacha, Sherutim Kablaniim and Danaor, employees of numerous associations, employees of high-tech and startup companies, employees of the Makor Rishon newspaper company, and many others.

On the other side of the fence, Rachel is an expert in labor law and represents a variety of employers, both in giving routine advice and also in claims lodged against them by employees, including representation in the Labor Courts.

In addition, Rachel has been appointed by district courts around the country to serve as appointed officer, liquidator, or special director for companies, etc.

Rachel also lectures at continuing education venues and at conferences on insolvency intended for institutional entities, attorneys, judges, and the like.

Additionally, Rachel is a licensed mediator.
